The story revolves around the lives of 3 Davids in 3 different parts of the world in 3 different eras. 1975 London- 30 year old David works for Iqbal Ghani, a dreaded Mafia don who controls the entire Asian community. He is a protege who is poised to take over the empire until a revelation which changes the course of his future. 1999 Mumbai- 19 year old David is a musician born into a family of devout Christians. A happy go lucky teenager who loses all semblance of his peaceful existence when his family gets dragged into a political issue. 2010 Goa – 40 year old David is a fisherman living in the small fishing village of Betul in Goa. He falls in love with the deaf and mute Roma- the only hitch is that she is engaged to be married to his best friend Peter in 10 days! All 3 Davids are about to take a step which is going to change their lives forever. 3 LIVES, 3 DESTINIES, CONNECTED BY 1 NAME – ‘DAVID’.

About the Film

David is a 2013 Indian Hindi action-thriller film directed by Bejoy Nambiar, starring Vikram, Neil Nitin Mukesh and Vinay Virmani in the title role, alongside Tabu, Lara Dutta, Monica Dogra and Isha Sharvani. An altered version with the same title David featuring a slightly different cast was simultaneously shot in Tamil.[2] The plot revolves around the lives of three different men named David, who are about to take a step which is going to change their lives forever.

The soundtrack of David consists of 15 tracks composed by eight various artists."David" is the first movie where two subtitlists worked on a film.Director Bejoy Nambiar opted for 'Live Sound Sync' for many scenes to maintain the realism in many scenes.Three cinematographer, R Rathnavelu, PS Vinod and Sanu Varghese were recruited to shoot the respective segments.


About the Director

Bejoy Nambiar is an Indian Story writer, Screenwriter, Director. He is mostly known for his critically acclaimed short films, Rahu and Reflections. He marked his feature film debut with the Hindi film Shaitan (2011) for which he received rave reviews. His second feature film, a bilingual gangster-comedy film called David was critically well-received, but was not commercially successful. He is known for his innovative technical finesse in storytelling, cinematography and music.

He has assisted Mani Ratnam for Guru and Raavan and his short film Reflections starring Mohanlal won him not just international recognition but opened new windows of opportunities as well. He had no formal film school training and owes the honing of his craft to Mani Ratnam.Bejoy, like his mentor Mani Ratnam, was armed with an MBA before he found his calling in movies.

His first film Shaitan is an edgy film on urban excesses with five youngsters, closely based on the infamous Adnan Patrawala case where a 16-year-old was killed by his friends for ransom in 2007.
